At TCH, foam is converted from raw material to nominal size sheets. The horizontal bun cutter accurately splits soft polyurethane (PU) and elastomeric foams and gasket. This process is called slitting. Our Skiving saws cut rigid materials such as polyethylene (PE) and Crosslinked Polyethylene (XLPE).
The converting and slitting process is a computer-controlled, automatic operation to enhance speed and production time. The blade is self-sharpening and always ready for use. The height is a computer-controlled setting to ensure accurate sheet thickness while the angle of the blade is adjustable to achieve the optimal setting for each material.
